Two pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Worgret Hill, Arne (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of post medieval extractive pits, probably associated with the extraction of sand and gravel. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not visible on the most recent Google Earth Imagery, this are now obscured under vegetation.
