Full Description
A pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Worgret Heath, Arne (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval quarry, probably associated with the extraction of sand and gravel. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is still visible as an earthwork on the most recent Google Earth Imagery.
