A pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Worgret Heath, Arne (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval quarry, probably associated with the extraction of sand and gravel. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is still visible as a cropmark on the most recent Google Earth Imagery.
