Full Description
Post medieval gravel pits are recorded here on the 1st and 2nd Editon OS Maps of Sandford Bridge, Wareham Town (1-2). They are considered likely to be associated with a nearby brick works (MDO30775). Remains of this site are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (3-4). These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project and are still extant on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
