A group of trackways and slit trenches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the field to the north of Ferncroft Farm, Wareham Town (1). They are considered likely to be remains of a First or Second World War military training area. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
