Full Description
A block of allotments of possible Second World War date is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s, to the west of New Swanage. (1) The southern part of the allotment area is now in use as an extension to the adjacent cemetery. Areas were given over to cultivation during the Second World War as part of the "Dig for Victory" campaign. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
