Two blocks of Second World War allotments are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the south east of the High Street, Langton Matravers. The area has now partly been built over. (1) Areas were given over to cultivation during the Second World War as part of the "Dig for Victory" campaign. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
