Full Description
Two small hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs in fields to the south of Downshay Farm. (1-2). They are considered to be the result of small-scale limestone quarrying dating to the 19th century. The features are still partially extant on the most recent Google Earth imagery and were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
