A gravel pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Seven Barrows, Wareham St Martin taken in 1947. It is recorded on the 1st and 2nd Editions of the OS Map, suggesting it has its origins in the post medieval period and has subsequently undergone modern expansion.

It is recorded on the 1st and 2nd Editions of the OS Map (2-3), suggesting it has its origins in the post medieval period and has subsequently undergone modern expansion. This site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project and is still extant on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
