An extractive pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (1) and Lidar Imagery (2) of Wareham Forest. It is considered likely to be associated with post modieval or modern sand and gravel extraction. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
