Full Description
A series of small extractive pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar within the prehistoric and medieval field systems described in MDO30699 and MDO7451. They are considered to be small-scale limestone quarries presumably dating to the post medieval period although an earlier origin is possible. (1-2). The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
