Listed Building record MDO30678 - Gazebo in the garden of Worth House, Worth Matravers

A circular stone gazebo situated in the south west corner of the garden. It is thought to have been built in the nineteenth century, and has two re-used windows set into its walls - one late medieval and the other of uncertain date.

‘The following monuments unless otherwise described are of two storeys, or in a few instances of one storey with attics, and have walls of local Purbeck stone rubble and stone-slated roofs; they are of the late 18th or early 19th century. … (3) Gazebo (60 yds. S.) is probably modern but has, reset, a late mediaeval window of two trefoiled lights with sunk spandrels and another window of two uncusped pointed lights of uncertain date.’
