Nine post medieval extractive pits are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery of 2010 to the north of Golden Springs Farm. The pits are located on an area of sand and clay and measure between 11 by 10 m and 55 m by 34 m. (1) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
