Full Description
A group of buildings, trackways and earthworks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (1), located just to the north of Sandford, Wareham St Martin. They are considered likely to be the remains of a military site associated with Second World War activity in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project, the majority of this area now being the site of Sandford Middle School.
