A pit is visible on aerial photographs of Gore Hill, Wareham St Martin (1-2). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
