Summary

A low mound 20m in diameter, visible as a cropmark ring ditch on an aerial photograph. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

Full Description

SY 69878710 and 69908717. These two mounds look like barrows, but the area is covered in very tall grass and field investigation could not be conclusive. If they are barrows, they are very low. <1>

SY 69868710 A stony mound, diameter 16.0m and height 0.2m, no visible ditch, probably a much ploughed out bowl barrow. No trace of the other mound at SY 69908717, but a ring ditch about 22.0m in diameter, is visible on OS air photographs (a) at SY 69888716. <3>
