Full Description
A pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of a field to the east of Gore Heath, Wareham St Martin (1-2). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is still visible as a low earthwork on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
