Full Description

A circular mound, approximately 18.4m in diameter, is visible as a low earthwork on aerial photographs of Gore Heath, Wareham St Martin (1). It is considered possible this could be the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images avaialable to the project, this area now obscured by modern plantation.
