Summary

A linear ditch is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of a field just to the west of Organford, Lytchett Minster. It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval drainage ditch. Alternatively it could be a modern trackway, possibly associated with the nearby campsite.

A linear ditch is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of a field just to the west of Organford, Lytchett Minster (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval drainage ditch. Alternatively it could be a modern trackway, possibly associated with the nearby campsite. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible on the most comprehensive arerial images available to the project.
