A large pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Morden Park, Morden (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval or later extractive pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is still visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial photographs available to the project, although much obscured by vegetation.
