Full Description
A post medieval extractive pit is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery of 2010 to the west of Southover Farm, south east of Burleston. The pit is located on Portsdown Chalk Formation and measures 74 by 45 m. (1) It is marked on the 1st edition OS map. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
