A post medieval extractive pit is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery of 2010 at South Admiston, to the south of Athelhampton. The pit is located on Portsdown Chalk Formation and measures 51 by 47 m. (1) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
