Full Description
Two post medieval chalk pits are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery of 2010 on Kite Hill to the west of Puddletown. The pits are located on the Portsdown Chalk Formation and measure between 17 m by 12 m and 29 m by 26 m. (1) The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
