Full Description

An extensive system of post medieval water meadows is visible as partial earthworks on recent lidar imagery and as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s, between Athelhampton to the west and Tolpuddle to the east. The earthworks can be seen over an area measuring approximately 1330 m by 335 m. The water meadows continue to the west (see MDO30451) and to the east (see MDO30454). (1-2) The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
