Full Description

An extensive system of post medieval water meadows is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s and 1970s, to the north of Athelhampton. The earthworks can be seen over an area measuring approximately 350 m by 125 m. The water meadows continue to the south (see MDO30451) and to the north (outside the project area). (1-2) The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
