Full Description
A extensive complex of military practice trenching is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (1) to the north-west of Bovington Camp (MDO30438). The features are considered to date to the First World War and are the result of military training exercises associated with the camp. The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
