Full Description
Bovington Camp has been a training camp since 1916 and is the home of the Armoured Forces of the British Army. Fragments of practice trenching, presumably dating to the First World War, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 to the west of the camp at Cranes Moor (1). The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
