A group of circular hollows visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on Stoke Heath (1). The features are between 2m and 8m across and fairly evenly spaced. They are considered to be impact craters or exploded mine sites associated with military training activity. The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are still visible on recent Dorset CC digital aerial photographs (2).
