The site of a late nineteenth or early twentieth-century firing range is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north of Bovington Camp on Wool Heath (1-4). The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. Whilst parts of the range have been levelled and built over, some butts are still extant.
