The probable site of a prehistoric settlement comprising hut circles and field boundaries, is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the south of Bovington Lane. Two small hut circles (5m across) with possible east facing entrances are visible within the complex. In addition, a large ring ditch 11.5m across lies at SY 83278 88059 which may be a settlement enclosure or plough-levelled barrow (1).
