A system of perpendicular low linear banks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and 2010 lidar between Newburgh Farm and Shilling Plot. They are considered to be the remains of a medieval (or earlier) field system (1-2). They were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
