Full Description
A linear series of pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 on Whitcombe Vale (1). They may be a continuation of the features described in MDO30342 (the site of a Second World War bombing decoy or anti-landing obstacles). The features are still visible on the most recent Google earth aerial photographs. They were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
