Full Description
Several groups of small pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 on Whitcombe Combe to the west of Gatemore Road (1). They are considered to relate to early 20th century military activity, possibly fox-holes or shell holes. They were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
