Summary

Bowl barrow on Came Down Golf Course, damaged by bunker on south side. Otherwise well preserved. Visible on aerial photographs as an earthwork mound 17m in diameter. Digtally plotted for the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

Full Description

'F'. Bowl barrow 79 feet diameter by 4 1/2 feet high. Its height has been increased slightly for use as a golf tee, and it is cut on the south by a bunker. <1> <3>

Bowl barrow, diameter 24.0m. and height 2.2m. slightly mutilated by golf course landscaping. No visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. See ground photographs. <4>
