A group of buildings and structures are visible on aerial photographs of fields to the south of West Holme taken in 1945 (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of a military site associated with Second World War activites in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project, having since been removed or demolished.
