A group of parallel linear ditches are visible here as earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs of fields to the east of Chicks Hill Farm (1-2). They are considered liekly to be the remains of post medieval drainage ditches. These feature were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. Some of these features are still visible as cropmarks on the most recent aerial images available to the project, the remainder are now under modern conifer plantation
