A group of small curvilinear banks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Highwood Heath, East Stoke (1-2). They are considered likely to be the remains of military foxholes associated with Second World War activities in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not visible on the most recent aerial images available to the project.
