Full Description
A rectilinear structure surrounded by an enclosure and bare earthworks is visible on aerial photographs of Highwood Heath, East Stoke (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a military site associated with Second World War activities in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. The bare earthworks are still partially visible on the most recent aerial images available to the project, however the structure appears to have now been removed or demolished.
