A pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Worgret Heath, Arne (1-2). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval or early modern gravel pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not clearly visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial photographs available to the project, this area now being under dense scrub.
