Two pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Worgret Heath, Arne (1-2). They are considered likely to be the remains of post medieval or early modern gravel pits. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not clearly visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial photographs available to the project, this area now being under dense scrub.
