Summary

A circular mound is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs and Lidar imagery of Farm Heath, East Stoke. It is considered possible this could be the remains of a Late Neolithic or Bronze Age barrow. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is one of a large group of potential late prehistoric barrows situated at this location (see also MDO7701-05 and MDO30236-41).

Full Description

A circular mound, approximately 14.9m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (1-6) and Lidar imagery (7) of Farm Heath, East Stoke. It is considered possible this could be the remains of a Late Neolithic or Bronze Age barrow. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is one of a large group of potential late prehistoric barrows situated at this location (see also MDO7701-05 and MDO30236-41).
