Full Description
A pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (1) and Lidar imagery (2) of Ford Heath, East Stoke. It overlies an area of river terraces and is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval gravel or sand pit. Alternatively it could be natural in origin. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
