Summary

A hexagonal structure and associated trackway are visible on aerial photographs to the west of Clean Hollow Plantation taken in 1945. It is of uncertain date and function. It is possible this could be associated with Second World War military activity in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It appears to have been demolished or removed by 1947.

A hexagonal structure and associated trackway are visible on aerial photographs to the west of Clean Hollow Plantation taken in 1945 (1). It is of uncertain date and function. It is possible this could be associated with Second World War military activity in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It appears to have been demolished or removed by 1947.
