An irregular pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of fields just to the south of Table Plantation (1). It is considered likely this could be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit. It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is visible as a cropmark on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project.
