Full Description
A circular mound, approximately 6.6m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Stokeford Heath taken in 1945 (1). It is located close to the sites of two probable Bronze Age round barrows (MDO7697-98) and its similar morphology suggests it could be contemporary with them. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible on the most recent aerial imagery available to the project, this area now being heavily overgrown with scrub.
