Full Description
An extensive group of curvilinear ditches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (1-4) and Lidar Imagery (5) of Ford Heath, running from Ford Plantations south-eastwards to Payards Plantation. They are considered likely to be the remains of post medieval water meadows. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. Some of these features are still partially visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
