Full Description

About 300 Roman coins were found in the garden of Somerleigh Court in the late nineteenth century. When 'Mr Pearce built Somerleigh Court, he gave the garden a deep trenching. This seems to have brought the "Roman stratum" to the surface.' (1)
The coins include silver coins of Vespasian, Hadrian, and Antoninus Pius and Second Brass coins of Diocletian and Magnentius. (1)
