Full Description
The remains of possible post medieval quarrying activity are visible as earthworks on 1947 RAF aerial photographs of Bloxworth Heath (1), located directly south of Woolsbarrow Iron Age hillfort (MDO7215). Alternatively these features may have a natural origin. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not clearly visible on the most recent aerial images available to the project, this area now being obscured by vegetation.
