Full Description
The site of a possible post medieval quarry is visible as an earthwork on 1947 RAF aerial photographs of Bloxworth Heath (1). It appears to cut into the western edge of the remains of Woolsbarrow Iron Age hillfort (MDO7215). Alternatively this may be a natural feature. This site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not clearly visible on the most recent aerial images available to the project, this area now being obscured by vegetation.
