"A small gusset" containing a very heavily moated (dry) enclosure, about 100 x 80 yds, with signs of internal buildings, has been discovered at a field called Parritts Platt (not located) in Shaftesbury (ST 8623). The field name undoubtedly derives from a family name. <1>
